Increase work transparency by using GPS tracking to accurately capture when and where your fieldworkers start and finish jobs on the Servis App.
The Servis Mobile App now allows for GPS coordinates to be captured when starting and finishing jobs. To increase accountability for job-related user activity, simply activate the GPS feature in Mobile App Settings on Servis to begin capturing the precise location and time when a job is started and finished.
Important Information
- If the GPS Capture setting is enabled, the mobile app users must still grant GPS/Location permissions to the Servis App.
- Precise location permissions is highly recommended to ensure accurate location capture. Without it, the app can only estimate location within a 2km radius.
How to use GPS Capture in Servis
When a user starts or finishes a job on the Servis App, a GPS location will be captured automatically, granted the user has given Servis location capture permissions.

If there is an error with the GPS capture, or if the user has not granted location permissions to the Servis app, they will be prompted with a message to enable the settings. Here, the user can either 'Cancel', and retry the capture, or 'Continue' to skip and bypass the location capture.
In future, a setting will be added to the Servis platform to prevent jobs being started without GPS capture.
